While anchoring the 7:30 p.m. newscast on Friday, Dawne suffered a medical emergency while on the air. After initial help from her WAVE 3 News co-workers, Louisville firefighters and EMS personnel came to Dawne’s aid. >> VIDEO: Dawne Gee updates viewers on her condition She was taken to Norton Hospital for treatment and evaluation. Dawne was later told that she had suffered a stroke which, at the time, had left her paralyzed. Tuesday by phone, Dawne joined Julian Glover on the show bearing her name, WAVE Country with Dawne Gee , to update her many fans on her condition.
